Description

I lived in a bungalow a block from the meadow under the Flatirons at Chautauqua Park for ten years making it possible to wake before dawn then head out for a photoshoot without much preparation Ð kinda like grab and go photography on the fly. At the height of the May bloom the domestic and wild flowers in the meadow create a wonderful anchor for the iconic monoliths of the Flatirons. A domestic Poppy made the perfect center piece for this morningÕs photo this special place!

A Pentax 67II Medium format camera with a 55mm lens, f-8, shutter speed at 1/125th of a sec and Fuji Velvia Film (ISO50) were used to capture the wild flowers, meadow and Flatirons.
